My better half is having serious health issues and my time away needs to come to an end.  At least for a few months.  I am looking at employment opportunities locally in the same industry.  Namely AMHS (automated material handling systems) inside Intel cleanrooms.  Since a lot of the work I do involves construction coordinating, I am looking into that as a possibility.  The prospects are very good.

As usual, I don’t update this often enough.  I have lots of cool stories and wonderful new friends in both Ireland and Israel.  One day I will spend the time to share some of them here.

I have also been asked to go to Israel the end of the summer.  I am applying for a passport and it looks like I will be going towards the end of summer.

Ok, started this 3 nights ago.  Seems like much longer.  I have been working from dawn til dusk for weeks now.  I had to go to Oakland just to get nights off!  Meanwhile, Kelli has been hard at it for as long with no breaks.  I need to figure out some way to give her a mini vacation.  Any ideas would be appreciated.

In the meantime, lots more to do to get this place dialed in.  Our bedroom, and both offices have concrete floors and the master bath is plumbing sticking out of the wall.  Nice because its a fresh palette.

Well, off to do a closet shelf for Hannah.  Have a great Sunday everyone!

How many people work as hard on themselves?  When I was very young, I wanted answers to some serious questions.  Like where was I before I was born and why am I here now?  I asked every “authority figure” I knew/met with very disappointing results. I finally gave up and resigned myself to not knowing.  About 24 years later, I stumbled across a group of wonderful people who were asking the same questions and getting answers!  That began a journey of very hard work.  It was work of joy and passion that really didn’t seem like work at all! 

I wonder what percent of people are willing to put in the work on themselves.  To find the key questions then work to discover the answers.  From discussions with many of the people I have met, these questions seem to be either very back burner or non-existent.  Its not as if they were never asked, rather they were deemed impossible to answer.  Why am I here?  What is my purpose?  How can I be happy?   How can I have everything I want in life?  More money, certainly.  Also, better relationships with spouse, kids, friends, business associates, etc.  How can I be fulfilled in my life?  Mentor types like Tony Robbins, Jim Rohn, Darren Hardy have become wildly successful helping others define the questions and find the answers for themselves.  There seems to be a need.  Can I help others this way too?  I believe I can in a unique way.  Finding the way to peace in the process.  I am wildly excited to connect with the people who are willing to do the work on themselves.  Who see the value of this work.  It won’t always be easy but it will be worth it.  If you are one of these people, welcome and lets get to work!  I promise it will be worth it!

Then Monday I flew to Portland OR.  Worked in Vancouver, WA. on Tuesday then drove the rental car to Goldendale, WA. Spent time with my cantankerous buddy Ed.  He wasn’t feeling that well so I took it a little bit easy on him.  Worked there for a couple of days then came home Saturday.  Before leaving Portland, I met up with an old friend Dawn.  Haven’t seen her in about 15 years.  She and I had lunch at a cute little sushi bar in downtown Portland.  We talked about San Diego and meditation and a bunch of other things.  All the while, the guy sitting next to us was listening.  When we got up to leave, he said he was from North County, San Diego and his mom does meditations and things online!  He suggested she may be willing to help me get the meditations I am doing some traction! Pretty cool connection!  Thanks, Ryan!  Flew home and was very glad to see the family and hang out with them.  All in all, very grateful for a wonderful week with a great ending!

PS.  I will get another meditation lined up for this weekend, probably Sunday.

Kelli and I have been negotiating with some lovely folks from the bay area about a couple of project houses they have on the market.  One is ready to go within a couple of weeks.  The other has about 2-3 months to be ready.  For health reasons, they are unable to do the work these houses need themselves so my background and skills make this a pretty good match.  The dollars weren’t lining up for us though so it looked like we were going to have to back out of the deal.  I steeled my courage and asked for what seemed like the impossible and they said “Yes!”

That was a savings of about $700 a month for us for a period of one year. Total savings $8400.  Time it took to ask, about 2 minutes.  That adds up to an hourly earning of $252,000 an hour!  Please think about this next time you decide against doing something because of $$.  Ask for what you want and who knows, you just may get a yes! 

Going to the Whole Being Weekend today and I am PUMPED!  This will be the first time I’ve connected with this group of wonderful people in about 12 years.  More importantly, I will be connecting with a part of myself I have left behind for all those years.  The group of people I started my spiritual reawakening with are some of the most wonderful people I have ever met.  These amazing people have been instrumental in helping me in the most valuable way I have ever experienced.  They helped me learn that I am lovable and self love is essential to being a healthy part of society.  I have a role to play in the world and I can do it with love.  These last 12 years I have been and done things I am not proud of.  This has been a time of great learning.  Of understanding more about the “average” life, and circumstances.  I will always be able to draw upon this time as I move forward with a new level of empathy and understanding of where people are coming from.  An empathy that will empower me to communicate on a different level.  I know this time has been a necessary part of my path and am now ready to return to my roots.  The core of ME is ready to rock and roll!  Let’s help some people achieve their dreams and live the life they were meant to live!
