Life rolls on…

March 15th, 2005

It’s funny how some things change and some stay the same. Have you noticed that sometimes the ratios are different? In my case, at least lately, things have been changing very rapidly in a big way. For example, I now have a daughter.

That’s right, my girlfriend gave birth to my first child.

This is unusual because I have spent the majority of my life, pretty much against adding to the population if our little planet. Having come from a large family (eight kids) That and reading tons of Sci-Fi which attribute many of the worlds problems to overpopulation had left me with a (to put it mildly) aversion to complicating my life and the ills of society with my own progeny.

Well, THAT all went out the window a few months back when we got the news.

My girlfriend and I are both Forty three years old and we both felt that it was a little late in life to be starting this little project. However, divine intervention suggests otherwise. Now here she is in all her smelly, funny, adorable glory. I am smitten! Happily so, I might add…

Add this to an interstate move, a burgeoning new business and a possible new home purchase and you have changes up the kazoo. It’s a good thing some things are still the same. I am still healthy and full of energy, I am still with a great lady who I care for deeply. I am still positive about my and my families future. Yeah, some things change but some stay the same. Good.

PS. My host has updated everything on my site and left me unable to post here for awhile. Sorry about the long delay. I’ll work on posting more often.
